Friends Mommy is feelin' helpless! I'm havin' trouble walking cause I's wobbles when I walk. The dogtor did say I's needed to be kept confined for 'bout a month! I does has to go potty & Mommy carries my out & that when she sees me wobbling most & at times it makes her eyes leak. She says it makes her feel so useless cause there's nothing she can do. I's wobbles over to her & stares at her with my little eyes & licks her hand. She smiles at me thru her tears & tells me she loves me soooo much!
Ebby we'll be praying for you to get better! And we'll write to Santy Paws and the Three Wise Men for you to get better so your Mommy can get her gift! We love you Ebby and there's nothing more that we want than you to get better! Sending you POP with soft kissies and hugs! I think you should see Ceeley's ole' holistic vet. Take your pills and give them a chance to work. We like the idea of the holy-is-tick vet too. Give him a try. Now you take it easy and let the pills do their work. If you need to have surgery, well...we can always do an Ebby fundraiser to help your Momma pay for it!! But I think going to Ceeley's special vet sounds like a great idea. It never hurts to get a second opinion! Fizzy! Great idea! I bet we can pull enough paw power to help Ebby if she needs her surgery! There are great peeps and pups in dis dogster place! And I'm sure many will be willing to help. Besides Christmas is a time for giving and spreading the joy! Hey Ebby...we have a friend name Dixie who is a dashound she is around 13 and she was having back and leg problems her mom took her to accupunture and it made her feel soo much better..our mom goes once a week and she said it is the best . We hope you feel better and tell mom that we are thinking bout her too!! Your pal Arnie & Tanner You have to allow things to work. The vet is right.,. basically you have to rest ALOT for around a month. Only by doing that can the swelling go down. You have to stay smiley and upbeat for Ebby.. they pick up and react to sadness. It then can affect them. Its been a very short time.. this particular thing wont go in 5 minutes. Now.. if you dont think your vet it right.. thats another story.. and certainly then get a 2nd opinion. HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Good advice Flicka. Sophie stayed crated for 12 weeks after her ACL surgery and it paid off. I also had 2 dachunds with bad backs and Peaches was confined for 3 weeks at a time. I do like the idea of acupunture, but everything takes time. Remember, all of your feelings travel right down to Ebby. Once Momma's basset Delilah had her back go out. The vet recommended some meds and rest but wasn't sure it would fix her up.... She was so weak she couldn't walk at all, and Momma had to use a towel slung under her to help lift her so she could get outside to do her business... Momma was very worried. But with some rest, Delilah got all better and never had the problem again. We are praying that with some rest you will get all better, too. And we can hold an Ebby fundraiser if you need surgery... but given some rest and time, we hope you won't. Vets always give the worst case scenario so that the parents will be prepared.... TIME that is so hard to do, but each day of rest is one more in that long process. The acupuncture may be a great addition to the medicine the vet prescribed. They can work synergistically. Tell your momma if it gets hard for you to walk when you potty mom had to make a harness to hold me up with when I couldn't walk. You can just take a large towel(beach towl) and roll it up long ways and put it under me above my back legs and pull me up with it. She can pawmail me if she needs to. Feel better soon sweetie!
