I rescued Copper when his family split up. They didn't want him anymore because he has seizures.
March of Last year, Copper was diagnosed with stage IV lymphoma. He went through Chemo and Radiation and has been in remission for almost a year. A few weeks ago, Copper had a big seizure cluster event, because of his weakened immune system, he contracted a lung infection, and has had to undergo very painful shots.
Throughout the cancer and seizure issues, Copper has not only kept his spirits up, but his sense of humor is still intact. When Copper visits the vet, he always says hi to anyone who is waiting and if someone is really sad or scared, he will give them extra comfort.

Bio:
Copper is the investigator of the family. He will always be on the look out for something to steal. He also has a very long memory and will remember an item even weeks later. When he has the opportunity, he will steal it and hide it in his bed. Once when my mom was pet sitting for me, he stole her case of jewerly emptied the jewerly into his bed and hid the case under the bed. Boy was my mom mad.

Copper,
you are such a wonderful basset hound. Always so positive and upbeat, even when times are tough.
Even when you get your chemo treatment, you have a smile, and a tail wag for everyone who sees you. Thank you for keeping me grounded and for making me see what is most important in life.
