Arrival Story:
I rescued Max when I learned he had been thrown from a moving car into a ditch. I went to the shelter where he was being held, and when they brought him out, he jumped up into a chair right next to me and Woofed at me. I had to take him home. That was the only time he talked for a full 9 months. His previous owners had sprayed him with water every time he spoke, so he didn't say anything for a long time. Then one day, he realized it was ok to bark, and he's been talking ever since.

Bio:
I sent Max the wonder dog to the Bridge on April 20, 2008. I had 9 wonderful years with him. He came to me as an old dog, one that no one wanted. He gave me lots of love and taught me that even an old dog can have a young heart! Fly free Max! You will forever be in my heart!
