Shih Tzus are pretty great small dogs, so are Bichons and Havanese. If you want a really small dog you can go for a Yorkie or a Chi. It all depends on your home and lifestyle and if you're looking for a princess or a tough lil butch! Grooming is also something to consider. Pugs and Bostons are two of my favorites, they're adorable! You can even get a cross between the two, it's called a Bug!

They originated in Germany, but the English ended up naming them. The first Boxer came to U.S. in 1903, and was registered with the American Kennel Club in 1904. They were bred as working dogs. I have also heard that they make fine family pets! Also, thought you might want to know this, this breed is prone to getting these health issues - "arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy" and "sub-aortic Stenosis. Both are heart conditions. And they are also prone to getting hip dysplasia (a health problem detected in their hips).
