Last week we brought you a contest to win a heavenly, hand-crafted pet urn donated by Custom Pet Urns. (The company is actually that of Dogster “Alex in Welderland”!)
I asked readers to relate their thoughts about whether or not dogs go to heaven, and if so, what that heaven must be like. We got some beautiful responses, and I dare say that if Dogsers are right, there is no doubt that our departed best friends are greatly enjoying spending time in heaven or dog heaven, or any number of iterations of pooch paradise. It was enlightening to read everyone’s ideas and visions. Thanks to everyone who shared their thoughts on this matter that is close to the hearts of everyone who has ever loved and lost a dog.
We did a random drawing from all the qualified entries, and as fate would have it, the program we used drew the number of a woman whose beloved do had just died the previous week. This is what the winner, Laurie, wrote:
My beautiful sheltie Storm died just last week. I had her cremated because I cant stand the thought of her never being here with me anymore. Its odd that now that Im looking for an urn, you’re doing this. I believe Storm will be waiting for me, in the meantime, I grieve.
Laurie, we are sorry for your loss. I hope this urn helps keep your angel close to your heart. I’ll be in touch via email to patch you through to Alex.
Thank you to everyone who entered, and to Alex, for her generous donation of this very special urn. Keep your eyes peeled tomorrow for the winner of the memorial pendant.
