Everton star offers 5,000 reward for stolen puppy
EVERTON footballer Andy van der Meyde made an emotional plea last night for the return of his stolen pedigree puppy.
Mac, a seven-month-old Dogue de Bordeaux, was snatched during a burglary at the Everton FC winger’s home on Saturday.
Thieves forced a back door to the house in Higher Bebington, Wirral, and stole the dog along with Rolex watches, jewellery, a Ferrari and a Mini Cooper.
The two cars have been recovered since the break-in, which took place while the 26-year-old Dutchman was playing in the Howard Kendall testimonial match against Athletic Bilbao at Goodison Park. The dog remains missing.
