World’s Coolest Dog Prize

Talk about friendship! Francis Rocks wrote in to tell us how Pretty Boy Floyd (to the right) let Francis use his World’s Coolest Dog Prize. No wonder Floyd won the contest! What a great Dogster friend!

Thanks Dogster and Dogster users for allowing my pal Pretty Boy Floyd to win a Happy Tails Pet Stroller in the Dogster World’s Coolest dog contest (that he’s too big for).

My first photo op for my Dogster page was a challenge. I did NOT want to stay in the stroller. PERIOD. I was cursing all your names as I was put in there and tried to weasel out. Turns out I sprained or strained my shoulder while participating in a Dachshund Field Trial (see my Dogster diary about AB2110 to show how this bill effects this activity in future) and was forced to be on rest and relaxation… and the bipedess used the stroller for a few weeks and guess what… I got used to it! It was easier then carrying a 26 pound dog in and out of the car and to and from the office. I was still able to be out and be social but I was safe from re-injuring myself.

For Mothers Day I gave the bipedess a vet visit which gave us all free and clear on my sprain. No need for xray or scan or anything I have full range of motion and bears all weight. So we’ll be walking 3 times a day ON LEAD for 15 minutes for a few days and then starting to build up to SUPER FRANCIS hours and hours of off lead adventures.

So I will continue to use my stroller as I build back up to my original super Dachshund strength… and highly recommend it for any injured dog under 35 pounds (especially with a crate pad and blanket in it)! Thank DOG Floyd won it!
