I read a story about a man and woman who were stuck in an elevator Sunday in the U.K. for a half hour with their dog before they were rescued. Firefighters had to cut the power and wind the cables by hand to get the elevator to the nearest floor, but all went well.
It got me to thinking: It might be calming to be with Jake while stuck in a lift, but I think I’d be concerned that he’d get restless or weirded out. Or if the lift were taking us downstairs to go out on a walk, I’d be worried about him holding it in ’til we were rescued. So I probably would not put Jake at the top of my list after all.
How about you, Dogsters? Would you want your dog with you if you were stuck between floors? Or maybe someone who knew how to tell good stories until help arrived? Is there anyone you really wouldn’t want? Go ahead, you can tell us! We won’t tell a soul…
