The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show is over, and as much as we appreciate admiring dogs who conform as closely as possible to the breed standard (which is considerable, but not so much as to give them awards for it), we’re a bit relieved it’s over. Americans have had their fill of best-of-class dogs; now we can go back to our own, the lovable dogs we spend our lives with, few of whom could carry out a proper gaiting if their lives depended on it.
Fortunately, they do not.
Still, let’s let the high-class, intricately named breed-conformers have another moment in the sun. America, we present your champions, along with their associated leash, ribbon, and trophy holders, in order of how cute we think everyone is. (Not really.)
