Dog case headed to trial
ROARING SPRING – Tammy Sneath Grimes will face a jury trial on charges that she stole a dog Sept. 11 from a Freedom Township property.
Grimes appeared in front of Magisterial District Judge Craig Ormsby today. Two of the charges, criminal mischief and criminal trespass, were withdrawn by prosecutors at the start of the hearing.
Ormsby declined attempts by Grimes and her attorney to provide a justification for her actions, saying that is a matter to be heard by the Blair County Court of Common Pleas.
About 50 people who support Grimes attended the hearing.
