At Dogster’s World Headquarters, our office humor is a little, well, offbeat, to put it kindly.
When it’s your job to sift through the cutest puppy photos all day, at some point you will scream “This one is sooo cute! I COULD JUST SQUISH HIM!!!” That quickly devolves into “Eat him!” “I just ate him!” “I’m digesting him!” and so on.
We are a loud and mostly female crew, and once somebody on the team finds a photo or video that must be shared, it makes the rounds quickly. Usually, our SAY Media co-workers know when we uncover something good, because there will be cries of “Look at this smooshface! I could just …” “Kick him!!” somebody is bound to finish.
When we say things like this, we mean it with love, of course. We would never actually kick or squish or eat a dog (unless you count the new office puppy, whose ears are too delightful not to nibble on).
Our humor is odd, but it’s ours, and so we were shocked when this “Cute Puppies” Key and Peele skit from Comedy Central came out last week. Outside the strange and dark ending, the lines hit a little too close to home. Seriously, we were looking around the office to see if we were secretly being taped!
