“Woofstock” Goes To The Dogs

It’s the biggest outdoor dog festival in all of North America, and on Saturday Woofstock was going on right in the heart of Toronto.

“You can find absolutely anything to practical to ridiculous,” said organizer Marlene Cook. “I don’t think you can say anything that we don’t have.”

Some dogs got dressed up others performed for their owners, but everything K-9 was certainly on display. There are over 250,000 dogs across the GTA and thousands of those were at the weekend event at St. Lawrence Market. In 2006, more than 140,000 dogs and owners made the scene.
