Students Collect Dog Food To Celebrate 100 School Days

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — In honor of their 100 days of attendance, students at Wingland Elementary have collected nearly 1,000 cans of dog food to donate to the Alpha Canine Sanctuary.

The school started a competition between the 34 different classes that contributed to the collection in order to bring in the most dog food possible.

Administrators said they also do can drives for other animal charities, but are happy they were able to collect so much food for this cause.
