Shelter seeks foster homes for dogs, cats

What:

Pets Inc. Adopt-a-Pal, a nonprofit animal rescue organization, is looking for temporary homes for more than 100 animals 60 cats and more than 40 dogs.

Why:

The organization moved into its new West Columbia animal shelter Thursday, and the 37-year-old former construction trailer where the group had been housed was demolished. But Friday, the group discovered a problem with the floors in the new facility. Sharp parts of the floor have come up and can hurt the animals feet.
