Remember Winston? He’s the dog who turned a cop car in Chattanooga, Tenn., into a chew toy a couple of weeks ago. Police there have just released dash cam video of Winston’s activity that day. It’s more playful and less violent than I pictured in the original reports. (Although I wouldn’t want him doing it to my car…) His brown friend cheering him on is pretty amusing, from afar. And those are some pretty patient officers.

Winston was held in doggy jail until yesterday, when a judge released him on “good behavior” and returned him to his owners, according to an AP story. He has to wear a tag that says “potentially dangerous,” and go to obedience and canine good citizen class. It’s really just a slap on the paw, considering what may have happened with different officers. From now on, maybe Winston’s owners will make sure he sticks to Kongs, not cars.
