Poll: One in five would spend Valentine’s Day with pet

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) – Valentine’s Day is Sunday and while many are making plans to spend the day with loved ones, others may prefer to spend the holiday with their pets.

According to a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll, one in five adults worldwide would rather spend Valentine’s Day with their pet than significant other.

More than 24,000 adults from 23 countries participated in the poll. Turkey ranks number one at 49 percent of people wanting to spend Valentine’s Day with their furry friends.

The United States ranked fifth in the study with 27 percent.
