Dog Beating Suspect Heads To Trial
Dog Left For Dead In DumpsterPittsburgh — A Knoxville man accused of leaving his dog for dead in a Dumpster is heading to trial.
Reginald Coleman, 18, was arrested last week.
Prosecutors said Coleman beat his pit bull and then stabbed it several times and left it in a Dumpster in October.
Surveillance video and what the judge called brave testimony of two witnesses is what kept Colemans case held for trial.
Witness Jennifer McBride said, I’m an animal lover, so it didn’t matter if there was a reward or not a reward. I would have still done the same thing.”
“I love dogs, especially pit bulls, and that dog was friendly, innocent. Just a beautiful dog, witness Jason Turner said.
Coleman, frustrated by the testimony, was removed from the courtroom because of agitated huffing sounds he was making towards the judge.
He’s being held on $5,000 bond.
