Gavin with his art

This Friday April 7th, art by and about dogs goes on the auction block at the Mad Arf Exhibit and Silent Auction. The event benefits Stray Rescue of St. Louis, an organization that rescues street dogs and other at-risk dogs. Stray Rescue actually serves Missouri’s stray dogs across the river in East St. Louis, Illinois as well.

Art Made By Dogs

So what’s different about this event? Much of the art has actually been done by some of the strays. Dogs, like Gavin above, have put paw to paper to create one of a kind masterpieces. The other art focuses on some of the rescued dogs.

Mad Arf will be at the Mad Art Gallery at 2727 South 12th Street in St. Louis. Admission is free and the event runs from 7 to 11 PM. The show runs through April 15th. For more information email www.madart.com.
