I don’t feature many dogs or cats looking for homes just because there are so many and there are some committed Dogster and Catster groups that help dogs and cats find homes.
But there’s always the exception. Tonight I got two messages from Dogsters trying to help a a few very special dogs in special cases. So here are the dogs these caring folks have taken to heart. If you live in Alabama or Oklahoma one of these needy furbabies could be your next cuddle partner. Even if you can’t keep them forever, maybe you could step up and foster one of them.

In Alabama, this sweet girl is looking for a home. She doesn’t have a home but here is her story:
Another dog has been dropped off here or either a stray has migrated to my house. She won’t go away even tho she is not being fed. She is extremely sweet & really craving attention. She stands at my front window & watches me & my animals & cries. As most of you know, she can’t stay here. She needs a loving home or at least a foster home where she can be kept away from the elements & cars. Attached are a couple of photos.
Alex’s mom took one look at my sweet face and started trying to find someone to love me and give me the furever home that I deserve. She’s emailed lots of friends and acquaintances and called some vets and they’ve posted my picture. I only have a few days where I am hanging out. The kind lady there has already taken in A LOT of other animals and it’s taking away from them for her to feed me. If no one will give me a home or at least a foster home, then in a few days the lady will take me to the humane society.

In Oklahoma there are three furbabies running out of time. I have left the original post in all caps as it came to me.
IT IS A VERY SAD TIME FOR ME HERE IN BURNS FLAT… AS MOST OF YOU KNOW, I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR A YEAR AS OF JULY 1ST. TO DATE, I HAVE SAVED OVER 260 DOGS, ALL SPAYED AND NEUTERED… ALL EITHER INTO FOREVER HOMES, FOSTERS, OR GREAT RESCUES.
I COULD NEVER HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU…
I TURNED A 99% KILL SHELTER INTO A 0% KILL SHELTER…THAT’S RIGHT, WE HAVE NOT LOST ONE… UNTIL NOW…I AM ON BORROWED TIME WITH THESE THREE…THE BEAUTIFUL MOMMA PIT IS THE SWEETEST GIRL EVER…SHE HAS TRIED TO MOTHER ALL THE BABIES WE HAVE HAD ALL WEEK AND GETS ALONG GREAT WITH THE OTHER DOGS… SHE WAS THROWN AWAY BECAUSE HER PUP WAS CUTER THAN SHE WAS…
THE SHEP MIX…A LITTLE HAND SHY BUT ONCE YOU GET HIM TO TRUST YOU, OH WHAT A KISSY BOY…HE, TOO, LOVES EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE…VERY SWEET AND ANOTHER THROW AWAY…
THEN THERE IS SHORT…HE LOOKS BIGGER IN THE PICTURE BUT HE ACTUALLY COMES TO JUST BELOW MY KNEES…HE IS MY CRY BABY…EVERY TIME I AM THERE, HE CRIES AND WANTS TO BE LOVED…HE HAS THE PRETTIEST RED COAT AND THE SHORTEST LITTLE LEGS EVER…
THEY ALL SHOULD HAVE ALREADY BEEN PUT DOWN…BUT, I MOVED 8 MORE ADOPTABLE ONES TO RESCUE AND FOSTERS, SO I STILL HAVE THEM ALIVE… PLEASE…DO YOU HAVE ROOM? SHORTY HAS A SPONSOR TO HELP OUT, BUT WE STILL NEED A SAFE PLACE TO PUT HIM…

Terry in OK reports that Dana will rescue the Mama pit after she is spayed Monday, and the ACO gave Terry an extension for Shorty and Shep Mix TWO VERY SWEET BOYS. There is still nobody for SHORTY and SHEP MIX!! Please save them or crosspost ASAP. Thank you.
