Hey fellow Dogsters! I am writing to invite you to join me and my fellow huskies in Northeast PA for some real fun!

Join Us At Warren County Winterfest – January 25, 26 & 27, 2008

Sled dog races, Geocaching events, Ice Fishing, Polar Bear Plunge and of course the Tails of the Tundra Siberian Husky Rescue will have a booth too!

We will have sled dog harnesses at the Tails of the Tundra booth if you want to stop by with your dog and have them fitted. Also new this year is a booksigning by Jim McQuiston, author of “Captain Jack, Father of the Yukon.” The book outlines the career of his ancestor, Jack McQeston, a frontier hero who operated the first steamboats on the Yukon River, was a chief trader on the Yukon, and “grubstaked” thousands of gold miners during the days of the gold rush. The story of this adventurer’s life has been hidden in the pages of long-forgotten books and old newspapers until now. Mr. McQuiston paints a picture of his ancestor’s epic life during a “rough and tumble” time in the Yukon Territory, the Klondike, and Alaska during the gold rush days–of mushers and miners, grubstakes and dogs, life in the wild North, where his name is still revered today.
