In November I posted Iams Home 4 The Holidays, about their adoption drive. Their goal was to find loving, lifelong homes for more than 1 million orphaned dogs and cats through the participation of 3,000 organizations.
I’m glad to announce they not only met their goal they surpassed it! In a time when so many animals are being dumped at shelters this is amazing news.
I wanted to share some great news about Home 4 the Holidays pet adoption program with you and your site readers. In week 13 of Home 4 the Holidays we saw 122,222 pets adopted into forever homes!
Since that was one week before today, January 5–the ending date for the program–we are very excited to announce that we’ve crossed our goal line!
One Million Eighty-Eight Thousand, Five Hundred and Six Pets have found forever homes since we started this event on October 1st, 2008!
Thank you *so* much for your support and working with me on this great project!
Best wishes for the new year,
Victoria
Congrats to Iams for a job well done and for giving so many deserving dogs (and cats) a new lease on life. Let’s not forget there are still so many out there that need homes. If you’re thinking of adopting now or in the future please keep a rescue in mind.
