I’m freshly back in 60-degree San Francisco after returning from vacationing in New York City and Montreal, where highs sizzled over 100 degrees the last few days. With any luck, there should be a slight break in the heatwave today, although the humidity is still supposed to keep things very uncomfortable. It’s enough to make you pant.
Jake is chillin’ here by the beach in our foggy city (here’s how he does it; just ignore the ad before the video), but I think it’s time for Dogsters in hotter climes to talk about how you and your dogs are coping with the scorching heatwave. Are the sprinklers coming out? The air conditioners on non-stop? Does your dog enjoy slurping up water with ice? Have you given your pooch a buzz cut, or bought him a little swimming pool? This is the place to give your tips, share your experiences, and just commiserate with others who are in the same stifling boat. Tell us what you’re doing, and how — and if — you’re beating the heat.
