Are you computer savvy, a dog lover and want to find a way to help many, many dogs without ever leaving home? If so, you might be the person with the answer to author and rescuer Jim Willis’ recent question.

As many of you know, Jim is the author of bestseller “Piece of My Heart” and the essay read round the world, “How Could You?” Jim is also a very active rescuer and works with rescuers around the world to help furbaby find forever homes. Now one of the women who is responsible for cross-posting info is trying to find a way to do it more efficiently without spending a ton of money. Can you help? If so, bark in!

A friend of mine is literally one of the busiest cross-posters of animal-rescue-related and animal-advocacy messages in the country. She cross-posts messages all day 24/7 and she does a good job of making sure info in the messages is complete and highlighting the pertinent info. Her internet service provider is Comcast, who has continually warned her about the volume of messages she sends and keeps placing her on their “spamming blacklist.” Each time she explains what she does, they want her to open a business account which she cannot afford.

She posts to about 225 animal-related yahoo groups (as well as to an extensive address book of other list owners). She does this in batches of 15 at a time in order to operate under their “radar.” This is laborious and she posts on average 50 separate messages per day. Her efforts are indispensable and I know from personal experience that almost every animal she cross-posts for me gets help.

I’m not very communications savvy. If any of you know a professional who could advise her or could help find some free solution for her, it would be very appreciated by all of us who depend on her help.
