I’m a sucker for an Australian Cattle Dog, and this #cattledogcrew is made up of four: Pe’ahi, Nalu, Leilani, and Honu. The pups (and their person, Alta Anzalone) moved from Santa Cruz, California, to Bend, Oregon, and their Instagram account has captured it all.
What started three years ago as a way to document Nalu’s puppyhood has expanded to include the whole pack, from gorgeous shots of the dogs exploring nature to candid cuddle shots. The account currently has more than 25,000 followers, some of whom the crew has gotten to know pretty well.
“I think I’m still fairly in shock of how many real life friends I’ve made from the account,” Alta said. She’s shared advice, given and received support, and even vacationed with some of her followers.
The Cattle Dogs get recognized fairly often in public, which still shocks her, and Alta has also been recognized a time or two, sans Heelers. “The whole experience has been surreal, but we’ve enjoyed the ride!”
