New Group To Find Missing Pets

We wanted to tell you that we started a group called “LOST & FOUND” which has threads for every state, canadian provinces (together in one) and international to help those who have lost a pet unite with others on dogster…If anyone needs it, please feel free to join up!

Just thought we’d pass on the word!

Hi, Joy! I just wanted to let you know that there is a new group on Dogster that might prove very useful for folks. It’s designed to help missing dogs hookup with their humans (missing cats are also invited). We were thinking that, the more folks know about it, the better chance it has of actually working.

The basic idea is this: notices about missing dogs (or cats) are posted, including information about where they were last seen. Dogster folks who live in that area can then check local pounds, newspapers, etc. to see if a dog or cat matching that description has been found. Likewise, a “found”
animal can be listed, for folks who are looking for their dog or cat in a certain locale.
