Zeb is so proud of himself he’s doing the Border Collie bounce! And why not? He’s today’s featured dog on Dog Each Day! Congratulations Zeb!

Here’s what his furmom Daphne has to say about this striking furbaby:

We got our Border Collie Zeb, from a not so good breeder when he was 8 weeks old. He was a very sick baby when we brought him home. We immediately took him to the vet and he did x-rays and found that he had a severe upper respiratory infection. He was given meds and the vet told us not to take him outside until he was well. I fussed over him and catered to his every whim. Then, after a couple of months, we noticed that he was stumbling and falling a lot. At first we just thought he was just a clumsy puppy but then he would just fall down for no reason. He would sleep a lot and during his waking hours, he would just lay and whine. So, back to the vet we went. X-rays showed that he had severe hip displaysia. This pup wasnt even a year old yet. We tried meds to help but his hips were just to far gone. So, we took him to a veterinary orthopedic surgeon for hip surgery. Despite his rough beginning and two separate hip surgeries, he is now a very healthy and happy boy. He doesnt have a lot of the normal instincts that you find in Border Collies. But I really think it is due to the fact that he was so very sick in the beginning. I have no doubt that if we hadnt taken him, those people that call themselves Breeders would have put him down. Even though Zeb has been a big expense and a lot of worry for us, I dont regret for one moment having him. He is my baby. Who could resist that beautiful big blue eye!! – Daphne

I think we all have to agree with Larry when he says:

He is beautiful, Daphne, and I am glad you were the one who took him home. Theres a lot of folks who couldnt go through everything you did, both emotionally and financially. Well done
