It’s that time of year again, and love is in the air (it’s either love or the smell of wet dog).
Dogster is thrilled to bring you a fun Valentine’s contest wtih one of the coolest prizes ever in Dogster history: A sleek, hip Neko Habitat dog bed. Retail value: $235.
The bed is the Wave design, and comes in green with a green/forest cushion. (It’s more gem-toned than it appears in the photo, actually.) It’s good for dogs up to 30 pounds — or (gasp!) cats. The nice folks at Neko are generously donating the bed for this contest, so be sure to sniff around their site while you’re there.
If your dog isn’t under 30 pounds, don’t worry. You may not win the contest. Or you may get second or third place, and win 50 or 25 Zealies, respectively. If you win and you’ve got a Jake-sized dog, you can always give it to a more pint-size dog or, yes, a cat.
So how do you win? 
Your dog has to become a poet.
Your dog must pen an original Valentine’s poem to you for all the world to read. It can be short and sweet, long and sort of sweet, funny, silly, tender, sensitive, or all or none of the above. Just post it in Comments sometime between now and 5 p,m. Eastern Time next Wednesday (Feb. 10).

If you don’t have a Dogster page, please be sure to use a real email address when inputting your information above the comments box. Otherwise we’ll have no way of getting in touch with you, and your dog would be very mad and take back his or her Valentine sentiments. And we wouldn’t want that, would we?
