I just wanted to let you know that my dog Boo was chosen as a Year of the Dog model. Larry did a wonderful sketch of him and posted it today. Thank you Dogster, for posting the information on your website about The Year Of The Dog. Larry is doing beautiful sketches of dogs.
Kelly and Larry had this to say about Boo and the sketch:
Boo is a Caucasian Ovcharka. He will be 3 yrs. old in May. I waited almost 2 1/2 yrs. for my pup. He was well worth the wait.
I originally wanted him because I love the breed; But also at the time I worked overnights and my mother who lives with me didn’t like being home alone at night. So I wanted a big dog. He weighs 155 lbs and is about 5′ 7″ if he stands on his hind feet
He is such a wonderful dog. He greets us when we come home with more than just a tail wag ; His whole back end swings back and forth. Then we get a kiss.
When I take him for walks and he sees a car going by. He puffs himself up as to say look at me.” People always comment on his size and ask what kind of dog he is. He can be quite a conversation piece.I cant imagine life without him – Kelly Stechyshyn
Thanks Kelly! Id never heard of that breed until now. What a beautiful, expressive face. I chose this picture with his eyes closed because it just speaks volumes of his gentle nature. Id like to see some puppy pictures of Boo — Larry
Thanks for letting us know Kelly. Striking art and gorgeous dog!
