I have a labador retriever , age 4 1/2 yrs. old, recently diagnoised with diabetes. He is on insulin twice daily. I am looking for help regarding his diet. The recomended food is 4 cans or 6 cups of Hlls w/d food. It costs a fortune. He seems always to be starved. I want what is best , healthiest for him. Info. needed . His sugars are still high. He is being tested every week. Last sugar was 427, no ketones.
