Over the weekend, AT&T Park in San Francisco hosted its annual Dog Days of Summer to benefit the San Francisco SPCA. The dog day included a parade around the track and a costume contest, and later both humans and dogs were allowed to watch the Giants battle the Braves.

More than 500 costumed canines showed up to participate. While the majority of dogs came representing their Giants pride, many of the pups dressed up as different facets of San Francisco living, like the Corgi below dressed up as a BART train (somebody get that dog on Corgasbord, stat!).

The winner of the costume contest was a dog disguised as a security guard. Nobody gets past this pooch without an inspecting nose in the crotch!

Also present were representatives of the Warrior Canine Connection, a nonprofit that pairs service members and veterans suffering from combat stress and brain injuries with service dogs in training.

Sports rivalry aside (yes, one dog did show up betwixt two fake buns as a Dodgers dog), the Dog Days of Summer gave baseball fans a chance to enjoy America’s favorite pastime with America’s favorite pet. And who doesn’t love a dog in costume?
