If you know a short man in Southern England whose upper right arm bears the mark of a mysterious fresh dog bite, the police want to know about it.
A woman in her sixties says she was walking her terrier in Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire, when a man exposed himself to the duo, according to BBC.
“This was clearly an upsetting incident for the woman and her dog,” said Sergeant Ian Dowling, of North Cotswolds police.
Yes, clearly. The dog growled, and then bit the man’s upper arm. (The man was lucky that’s all he bit.) The terrier must have been one of the taller breeds. The man himself was a rather short breed, about 5’2″, police report.
The man is described as slim, and having “bluey-brown” eyes (?). He wore navy blue running pants, a light blue top, and a black hat.
The dog is in no trouble. In fact, Dowling says, “The animal seems to have acted instinctively…”
McGruff the Crime Dog would be very proud. October was crime prevention month, and this terrier obviously was just doing his part.
