Hello Eric!
Does Heartgard really work? I hear from so many people that you’re wasting your money on paying for it. I am just wondering if that is true.
I just want to thank you for taking the time to write all of us back/ I think it is really great that you do this. 🙂

Heartgard Plus, Interceptor, and other broad-spectrum heartworm and intestinal worm preventatives are, in my opinion, well worth the money. They definitely do work when used as directed, and they are extremely safe. They prevent heartworm (which is difficult and expensive to treat even when the treatment is available, which it currently isn’t) and roundworms that can spread to humans. I give a monthly heartworm preventative to my pal, Buster, every month.
(For the record, I don’t answer every question that is submitted. I wish I could, but many of them aren’t generally applicable or not appropriate for the blog.)
