Same sex marriage is now legal all across the United States! That’s great news for love-smitten couples of all orientation. But have you ever found yourself wondering what your humble canine thinks about the idea of formalized coupling?
Well, according to an upcoming film titled The Dog Wedding, your average pup is wholesale on board with the nuptials movement. To prove the point, a photo contest that is running through the end of July spotlights an array of dogs in various wedding scenes and scenarios. Here’s a teaser of the most striking entries so far:
It’s been said that Prince and Queenie always dreamed of a royal wedding.
Marvel at Titus and Hailey as cake toppers!
And here they are in real life, all dolled up in their finest wedding garb.
This fancy lady knows the secret to any successful wedding bash — bubbly!
I’m gonna make a wild claim and guess that there’s a hearty dose of bearded rockers ZZ Top on this couple’s reception playlist.
When it comes to the game of nuptials, Pugs always flourish in formal attire.
This dapper duo like to call themselves the Bully Bros — although you can address them as Bruce and Harvey in less upscale situations.
These two old-fashioned pooches are plotting a Victorian-themed ceremony. Things were much better in the olden days, you know.
One look on Mr. Mojito’s face lets you know that he’s not really that bothered if he gets stood up on his wedding day — at least not when there’s epic cake to consume!
These dinky pooches make an adorable couple, right?
You can check out the trailer for The Dog Wedding below. If you want to enter the photo contest — which will culminate with 50 winning pics of dogs being shown during the flick’s credits, along with lots of other fun prizes totaling $10,000 — you can check out the rules over at The Dog Wedding Facebook page.
