Police are crediting a canine officer and his pooch for sniffing out three robbery suspects.

About 1:50 a.m. Sunday morning, three 18 year-old men took a taxi from the entertainment district to a Richmond Hill parking lot. When their driver requested the fare, the suspects robbed the driver and fled.

With the help of his canine unit officer, police service dog Diesel located two of the suspects in a nearby backyard. The third suspect was arrested later at his home.
