What a great idea and organization!!!! How could I NOT blog about it?
Thanks to Dogster Nikki, furmom to Dogster Lucy & Maggie, and Catster Nikko, for putting together this organization and barking in about it!

Hello Joy,Just want to tell you how much I love your blog and to thank you for blogging recently about our new 2007 Good Dogs Calendars, featuring breeds and mixes targeted by BSL.
I’m also writing you to (shamelessly) ask a favor: Could you drop a blog blurb about our new pet food bank, CAFE San Jose (CAFE stands for “Companion Animal Food Exchange)?
CAFE San Jose is located in San Jose, CA and serves the four-legged residents of the San Francisco South Bay. Our pet food bank is brand new and, alas, we are sorely in need of volunteers and donations of pet food, pet supplies and money.
Also, we have teamed up with Meals on Wheels Silicon Valley to help raise money and bring in food donations for their “Season of Suppers” holiday pet food drive. To learn more about Meals on Wheels and the “Season of Suppers” pet food drive, visit our website.
Who we serve: Donations of food and supplies will help feed the companion animals of fixed-income seniors, no- or low-income persons, those who are homebound due to illness or disability, animal rescue groups and managers of feral cat colonies. Monetary donations will help with our operating expenses, purchases of additional food and supplies and an emergency fund to help cover vet bills for low-income pet guardians and rescue groups.
In the event of a natural disaster, CAFE San Jose hopes to serve as a central hub for the collection and distribution of pet food and supplies to affected pets and their guardians.
Please visit our website.
Thanks so much for all your help!
