Understandably it might be difficult to own a dog in New York City! Shoebox-sized apartments and sky-high living costs put the pleasure of dog-owning out of the reach of many people.

Thanks to Beneful, however, folks who pass through the Columbus Circle subway station can play with virtual dogs on a 64-foot billboard.

Throughout the month of May, you can approach the board, pick up a ball, and toss it to a customizable computer-generated canine.

Each dog is equipped with artificial intelligence so it reacts uniquely to users. You can also snap a photo with the pups to share with friends and family.

If you’re in New York City, have you had a chance to check this out? Tell us what you think!
