Support The New Animal Shelter
Want to support a good cause AND have some fun? And live in the St. Louis area? Well then check out Barkapalooza 2006. St. Louis is building a new animal shelter (you REALLY don’t want to know about the old one!). This event will help raise funds for the new shelter. So here’s the scoop! It is with much pleasure that we announce Barkapalooza, a music festival for pooches and people to benefit the Animal House Fund, the 501( c ) 3 organization building the critically-needed new city animal shelter.
WHAT: Barkapalooza, an outdoor music concert for people and their pooches featuring three dynamic St. Louis bands, pet contests and other festival activities benefiting the Animal House Fund, Inc.
WHO: Party Animals, the Young Friends Council of the Animal House Fund, is producing the event alongside 106.5 The Arch and St. Louis Magazine.
BANDS: Modern Red, Dean Evans Band, Upright Animals
HOW: $20 tickets in advance; $50 VIP tickets

WHY: To raise funds and visibility for the Animal House Fund for the construction of a new animal care facility in the City of St. Louis that will increase the number of annual adoptions, reduce the euthanasia of adoptable animals and reduce the number of feral animals roaming our streets.
