Thanks to Kaye, Mr. Spot’s furmom, for barking in this invitation to all Australian Dogsters. It sounds like it’s going to be such fun!
Dear Dogster Friends:
In Australia, we are celebrating the Year of the Life Saver – those surf heroes who volunteer their time to provide rescue and safety services on beaches right around Australia. They have to raise their own funds to buy equipment -boats and surf skis and training equipment for juniors.
So people in Newcastle, NSW, the sixth biggest city in Australia, are getting together to run a Doggy Day Out to raise funds for our surf club. We have found a generous sponsor, Diamond IT, and they will underwrite the event. There will be a celebrity parade, a parade of dogs of all nations behind their flag of (breeding) origin, pet rescue service stalls, markets of pet products and services, demonstrations by working dogs, obedience trials and an attempt to break the World Guinness Book of Records for the most dogs walked at any one time by one person over a set course.
All this is happening in our beautiful Australian Spring season on Sunday, September 23.
Already, through Dogster, I have sent invitations to some other doggies, who like my Moodle, Mr Spot, have their profiles on Dogster.
Go, Dogster, support Aussie life-savers. Kaye, Newcastle, NSW, Australia
