Dog Eats $1,800 In Super Bowl Tickets

AVONDALE, AZ (NBC) — It sounds like a bad excuse, but what if your dog ate your Super Bowl tickets? That’s just what Buddy, a three-year-old Labrador retriever, did.

The dog stole a package that a courier slipped under the door of his owner Chris Gallagher of Avondale, Arizona.

The dog tore through the package and the two Super Bowl tickets inside valued at $900 a piece.

Gallagher said he arrived home to discover ripped, torn, and chewed-up remnants of the tickets with some pieces missing scattered about on the floor.

Chris Gallagher said, “but it was layin’ in the middle of the floor. And I kinda .. Kinda .. You know, did a ‘Oh my God!” or whatever. And buddy bee-lined out the back.?

The good news is the dog didn’t swallow all of the tickets, so his owner will be able to get a replacement pair.

So three-year-old buddy was forgiven after banishment to the back yard for two nights.
