Artist Amit Eshel was working as an illustrator when he fell in love with jewelry design. Inspired by nature, tribal artwork, and his two dogs (he has a Siberian Husky and a Shiba Inu), he began designing and creating pendant necklaces that celebrate dog breeds across the spectrum. Whether you’ve got a Dalmatian making mischief in your home, a Bloodhound curled up on the rug, or a feisty little Chihuahua, the Israel-based artist has a piece of jewelry for you.
Eshel’s work is delicate and whimsical, skillfully capturing the features of each breed so that they are instantly recognizable. Recalling the wild nature of dogs, the influence of tribal details in the jewelry make it seem almost animated. With stylish sensibilities, the pieces express a love of dogs without being overwrought or silly, and the artwork alone makes them suitable for dressing up or dressing down.
The pieces come in silver or gold as pendant necklaces or earrings. Perusing Eshel’s Etsy shop, Siberian Art Jewelry, we found almost every breed of dog we could ask for (including — yes — a Corgi). There’s even a delicate, swirly fox.
Take a look — is your favorite breed among his offerings?
