I really hope this isn’t true. But if it is I hope some of the other rescues can help out in some way.

I was advised late this afternoon that the “powers that be” who oversee the Rockport pound have decided that ALL animals still at the facility on Monday or Tuesday, at the latest, are going to be euthanized because of the potential of Hurricane Dean hitting Rockport! We’re talking about probably 75 dogs and 25 cats/kittens (and I CAN’T bring them all home with me!). I can’t begin to state how UTTERYLY RIDICULOUS this is and, I’m hoping they’re not serious…I’m hoping to find out more tomorrow.

Meanwhile, if any of you were contemplating any of those babies I’ve sent out in the last week, please, we must act now on them! I haven’t even had a chance to send out everything that’s there. Please go to my website. Any animal with the word “pound” in his/her name is at the Rockport facility. There are a few more I need to get pics and postings on and I will do that tomorrow. Unfortunately, most of what’s there are 30 to 40 pound dogs but, there are about a half dozen under 20 pounds, including a little creme chihuahua female whose pic I will get tomorrow. HELP!!!!
