Dog Who Smelled Cancer
FOX6 Family Health BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC-TV) A Bernese Mountain dog is credited with saving the life of 59 year-old Claire Edwards.
Edwards says she owes her life to her dog Sackett. In 2002, Sackett began nudging her right breast so much that Mrs. Edwards finally sought a medical professional to see what was the matter. She was then diagnosed with an aggressive type of breast cancer in her right breast and promptly had the breast removed followed by chemotherapy treatments.
Mrs. Edwards says, I wasn’t destined to have him (Sackett), and I really wanted him, and I believe god gave him to me for a reason”
