“A tired dog is a well-behaved dog.” Trainers say this all the time to our clients. After all, physical exercise is important to dogs and most get far too little of it. However, this simple phrase does deserve closer investigation for a number of reasons because I think it glosses over a few key points.

What if you can’t exercise your dog as much as she needs?
