If that little wagon came rolling through our living room, Jake would tear it apart until he found the “squeaky,” as he did in this video where he “tested” a Martha Stewart dog toy. In this case, the squeaky would be wagon’s tiny driver and horses. Not a pretty sight. What would your dog do if she saw a mini horse-drawn wagon speeding through her house and disappearing when it hit a cabinet?

This week and next, the Dog Blog will be bringing you a retro dog commercial a day for your viewing pleasure (or for your wincing pleasure; a few are quite awful). We figure with so many dogs appearing in commercials these days, hawking products from beer to cars to chips, we’d harken back to retroland and see the way dogs used to sell items (mostly dog food).
