The Phoenix Dog/Cat/Bird Hospital is the oldest continuously operating veterinary clinic in the valley. It was originally established in 1942. Dr. Towar acquired the clinic in 1972, and in 1987 relocated from Seventh Avenue near Van Buren to our current location.
We treat many varieties of small animal pets in addition to dogs and cats. Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets; early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages; and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime.
We understand the special role your pet plays in your family and are dedicated to becoming your partner in your pet's health care. We treat your pet as we would our own. Our goal is to practice the highest quality medicine and surgery with compassion and an emphasis on client education. Our entire healthcare team is committed to providing personal attention to the unique concerns of each individual pet owner. A variety of unique services combined with an expertly trained professional staff enable us to fulfill our objective of excellence in veterinary medicine.

At home, Dr. Bilsland functions as chief slave and litter pan scooper for many formerly homeless and needy cats. One of her main joys is providing for every want, need and whim of a large clutter of completely spoiled felines.
