Are dogs more affectionate than wives? (Flickr photo by Pumpkin Chief)

Dogs listen to women better than their partners do, according to a Purina survey in New Zealand. And men there say their dogs give them more affection than their partners.

About one-third of female dog owners in the survey thought their dogs were better listeners than their partners, and 14 percent of men say their dogs give them more love than their partners -- all of the time.

What d'ya think, Dogsters? Women, is your dog better at hearing you out than your partner? Men, can you count on a hug and kiss from your pooch more than you can from your other half?
