This just in from the ASPCA. If you want to show your support for the Governor of Pennsylvania’s efforts to protect dogs in his state, here’s the date — May 12th.
When: May 12, 2006, 1:00 P.M.
Where: The Capitol Building in Harrisburg, on the steps to the main entrance on 3rd street
Let’s show Governor Rendell how much we support his recent commitments to protecting the dogs in Pennsylvania by joining together at the Capitol Building!
Pennsylvanians and neighboring Ohioans are expected to show up in full force to thank Governor Rendell for his recent commitments to protect dogs in the Keystone State, and to raise awareness about puppy mills. We’ll be there, too, along with ASPCA Humane Law Enforcement officer Annemarie Lucas, who many of you have seen in action on Animal Planet’s Animal Precinct.
Due to the size of the crowd expected and the traffic at the Capitol, we ask that you leave your companion animals at home.
Did you notice the rally is for neighboring Ohioans as well? As many of you probably already know, Ohio is undergoing its own soul-searching in regards to puppy mills. So this is a great time to send a message across that state line to the Ohio government that its time to get their house in order too!
