Karen, Roxie's furmom, barked in about this auction. Of course, auctioning off dogs is terrible. We all know where these dogs probably come from and where they are DEFINITELY going -- puppy mills!

And notice that the announcement says that 95% are AKC registered dogs AND that many of these bulldogs come from champion lines. They even list two of the champions --

AKC CHAMPION MALE ENGLISH BULLDOG! IN THIS SALE!
NATIONAL CHAMPION
CH SIMONS SPANKEE BOSS MAN
DNA# V355775 AKC# NM89722605

AND

AKC CHAMPION FEMALE ENGLISH BULLDOG! IN THIS SALE!
CH JAMIE SPANKEE SIMONS
AKC# NPO4700903

This is extremely odd! I can't imagine ANY responsible breeder/shower EVER auctioning off a dog, much less a champion! So what's the story? Did the breeder die and her scummy family decide to dump the dogs in this despicable way? Are the sellers lying about the dogs? What is going on!

Meanwhile, reputable bulldog rescues and breeders should know about this auction in Southwest Missouri (the site of some of the worst puppy mills, including super puppy miller Hunte Corporation) in Wheaton, Missouri.

BTW, the auction house, Southwest Auction Services, boasts that they are the top auctioners of dogs. Puppy mill opponants might want to keep a close eye on this site!

Hi Joy,
There is going to be an Auction that people need to be aware of and maybe if enough dog lovers respond this can be stopped. I know some people already contacted the Humane Society in this area but the more noise that is made the better. Here is the link. How can people auction off dogs??????
