If you have a funky tooth in India, you might end up legally married to a dog. (Apparently it really is legal to marry a dog in India.)

During a large, formal tribal ceremony in India's eastern Jharkhand state, a man with an odd tooth married a female dog, and a little girl with a funny tooth married a male dog. Each human has a tooth that "grows above its usual position," which is supposed to be a bad omen, bringing early death to a spouse. So instead of letting the omen snuff out a future husband or wife, a dog gets to take the chances. The marriage is also believed to "set the planetary arrangements right," a wedding guest told CBS News.

The humans will be allowed to marry other humans in the future without having to divorce their dogs. I doubt the dogs will get even a whiff of alimony.

Check out the video footage below. The little girl sure didn't look happy to be taking on a canine as her husband. She would probably rather visit the dentist to do something about that tooth. I'm just sayin'...
