Savannah Blue, The Teaching Dog

Okay, 137-pound Savannah Blue isn’t ACTUALLY teaching. She’s more like the subject of her human companion’s book, Savannah Blue’s Activity Book. Orange County, California-based Sudie Rukasin envisioned Savannah talking and teaching Spanish so she put her in a book. The book is designed to help grade schoolers learn Spanish or English, whichever is needed.

Rukasin wrote the book as if Savannah actually did the teaching and writing. It must be pretty convincing because during a recent trip to a local school, one of the young readers seemed disappointed that Savannah hadn’t actually written it herself. Sounds like the young woman is a budding Dogster.com member!
